On October 6, the First major space art auction at the Universidad Panamericana (UP) in Mexico City, where around a hundred lectures will be offered plastic works whose theme is space.
The purpose of this auction is to raise funds for space mission of the Mexican PAKAL satellite, on which researchers from the said university are working.

During the week of October 3 to 7, the University panamerica organizes an international space week, within the framework of an academic agenda, cultural and science in commemoration of the launch of the Sputnikoccurred on October 4, 1957.
The main event of said week will be the auction, which is a joint effort between PopUp Subastas, led by Juan José Díaz Infante and Mónica Barragán Rosillo, and the Mexican Space Collective (also led by Díaz Infante), as stated in a statement. Juan José Díaz Infante, expert in technology and culturewill be its curator and auctioneer.
Since 2010, Díaz Infante has been involved in projects of “Space Art” and space activism, including the satellite cultural Ulises I, Gravity Poem “Your body, my body” which was part of a weightless mission carried out in Russia, the transmission of “Don Quixote on the Moon” and organized the first NFT auction in Mexico, in addition to that he is the founder of the Mexican Space Collective, the first group of citizens of its kind and which became the Mexican Civil Space Agency.
