President Andrés Manuel López Obrador explained that the next appointment of the Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez as Mexican Ambassador to Canada is for continue promoting tourism in Quintana Roo.
During his morning conference, López Obrador said that Canadian tourism is the second most important in Quintana Roo, after that of the United States.

“Why Carlos Joaquín in Canada? There is a lot of influx of tourists from this country to Quintana Roo, it is the second country with the most tourists visiting Roo. Carlos has a lot of experience and continues to promote tourism,” he said.
He mentioned that it is a priority to promote tourism, since this activity generates wealth, in addition, millions of Mexicans make a living from it.
“So we have to keep promoting tourism, taking care of the environment, ensuring safety, a good job is being done in this area, in this area and Carlos is going to help a lot,” he said.
