The leadership of Morena in the State of Mexico was left in the hands of the group that supports Senator Higinio Martínez, who sought to be the party’s candidate for governor of the entity.

During the Council of State held this Sunday in Toluca, the movement ‘Mexiquenses de Corazón’led by Martínez Miranda, obtained 217 votes for the presidency of the party and 153 for the secretary general.

Martha Guerrero, Nazario Gutiérrez and Nancy Napoles will head Morena at Edomex.

Senator Martha Guerrero will retain the presidency, while local deputy Nazario Gutiérrez will serve as general secretary.

Slim Mariothe national leader of Morena, underlined that with this process of renewal, the party emerges united and strengthened.

“With this reorganization process, Morena is very united, very strong. Those who said that the State of Mexico process would divide us were wrong. Both in the process of electing the coordinator of the defense committees of the 4T in the State of Mexico and in this internal organization, we came out in unity because all the comrades put the project, that the 4T reaches the State, before any personal interest”, underlined the Morenist leader.

Delgado pointed out that with the election of the new leadership of the State of Mexico by the vote of the councilors, Morena advances on the path of unity and mobilization towards 2023, the year in which “the real triumph Il will change the lives of more than 15 million Mexicans.

Delfina Gómez, who is shaping up to be Morena’s candidate for governor of the state of Mexico, celebrated the election of the leadership, which had been headless for three years.
