The National Stadium in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, saw how the Guatemalan national team beat Canada 4-3 on penalties after drawing 1-1 in extra time, a match for the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup. Concacaf U-20 world.

After the penalty missed by Guatemala, the central defender signaled the end of the first half.
Already in the add-on, both teams had chances to score, but they couldn’t hurt each other.
At minute 71, Loredo started to move his pieces and gave way to Arquímedes Ordoñez and Néstor Cabrera, letting in Jefry Bantes and Edy Palencia.
After equalizing 0-0 in 90 minutes, centre-back Daneon Parchment ordered the start of extra time.
Barely into the first extra time, Jeshua Urizar touched the ball with his hand inside the box and Kamron Habibullah, who had entered the complement, beat a Jorge Moreno who guessed where the penalty was going, but he couldn’t avoid the Canadian celebration.
Already in the last minutes, Omar Villagrán scored to equalize the game and send it to penalties.
In the penalty shootout, Guatemala won 4-3, advancing to the next round.

If the Blue and Whites manage to win their next match (their rival will be Mexico or Puerto Rico), they will win a direct ticket to the next World Cup.
