ANDSpain will face Canada next Friday, October 25 (10:00 p.m.) at the stadium Francisco de la Hera d'Almendralejo. The American team is in the process of renewing its coaching staff following the departure of Bev Priestman after the drone crisis who stole the show at the Paris Olympic Games. Next week he will travel to our country with a trident of interim technicians (Andy Spence, Jen Herst and Neil Wood), three new recruits (Katelyn Collar -assistant-, Maryse Bard-Martel -analyst- and Diana Matheson -link- ) and the base of players who were at the Olympic event.

The only absences from the list for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Canada lost in the quarter-finals to Germany, are Quinn (Seattle Reign), Sydney Collins (NC Courage) and Jayde Rivière (Manchester United), all are absent due to injury.

Spain and Canada have met three times so far with a record of two Spanish victories and one draw.. The first impulse between the two powers was final of the Algarve Cup 2017 which our team resolved in favor by the minimum (1-0) thanks to a goal from Leila Ouahabi. They later signed draw (0-0) in a friendly match played in Logroño in 2019 in friendly preparation for the World Cup in France; win ours the last previous, in the 2022 Arnold Clark Cup, with another narrow victory (1-0) with a goal from Alexia Putellas.
