The Executive authorized the trip of the President of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola, to Toronto to participate in the event called Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2024, the largest mineral exploration event in the world.
The travel authorization was made official through the Supreme Resolution 038-2024-PCM, published in the legal standards bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano, signed by the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte. The resolution indicates that the PCM office will be in charge of the Minister of Women, Nancy Tolentino from March 2.

According to the recital part, the Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce invited the head of the Ministerial Office, Alberto Otárola, to participate as keynote speaker in the central lunch of Peru at the Canadian Association of Prospectors and Developers (PDAC 2024) which takes place held to the city of Toronto. Its exhibition is scheduled for March 5.
Likewise, it indicates that PDAC 2024 is the largest mining exploration event in the world, constituting an undeniable opportunity to present to more than 25,000 participants, investors and global mining entrepreneurs, the comparative advantages of investing in our country.
In addition, Alberto Otárola was invited to the opening of the Toronto Stock Exchange and to participate in Investor Day, a meeting where government leaders, leaders of the national and international mining sector and investors interact.
“That, in this context, the participation of the President of the Council of Ministers in the aforementioned event, as well as in the activities planned around it, will contribute to highlighting the positive image of our country as a beneficiary of mining investments, which is vitally important to achieve the inclusive and sustainable development of the country”, it is indicated.
