Havana, November 23 (ACN) Cuba will try today to successfully close the group stage by facing Costa Rica, in phase B of the I Continental Championship of North, Central America and Caribbean (Norceca) in women’s volleyball of under-17s, whose headquarters will take place until this Sunday in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

After losing 2-3 (28-26, 18-25, 25-16, 11-25 and 9-15) against Canada, and 0-3 (25-27, 17-25 and 15-25) against Dominican Republic, the Cubans will fight with the Costa Ricans for the victory that would guarantee them finishing in third place, with a record of one victory and two defeats.

At the end of Wednesday’s match against the Quisqueyanas, cornerer Salet Castillo said that “we missed the receipt a lot. I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves because it’s our first participation at international level. The offense went well for us and I think we could have won the game.
