The Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (Inbal), through the National Coordination of Literature (CNL), will examine the work of the narrator, playwright and actress Berta Hiriart, and her importance. for the letters of our country, which will be carried out as part of the cycle Protagonists of Mexican literature, next Sunday, November 12, in the Manuel M. Ponce room of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, at noon.

The presidium will be composed of the director of the El Naranjo publishing house, Ana Laura Delgado; producer, director and actor Juan Carlos Saavedra; the playwright, actress, screenwriter, teacher and theater director, Verónica Maldonado, and the author.

Berta Hiriart was born in Mexico City on February 2, 1950. She studied theater and dramaturgy with José Luis Ibáñez, Luisa Josefina Hernández, María Inés Falconi and Suzanne Lebeau. He studied a diploma at the General Society of Writers of Mexico (Sogem) and various Montessori education courses and training for literary workshop facilitators.

He was a member of the Independent Theater group Circus, rope and theater; She founded the UV children’s theater company and was co-artistic director of the International Children’s and Youth Theater Festival.
