Zacatecas, Zac.- A group of farmers accompanied by different agricultural leaders met this morning in the premises of the local Congress, with the intention of meeting the authorities of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) and the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER), as well as with others on the subject, to ask for progress, mainly due to the problems they face regarding obtaining the energy quota and the emergency declaration, among other supports.
Although declaring a drought emergency in the state is an issue that has been highlighted in recent months, they made it clear that the main point of this meeting was to request an extension of the extension of the grant of the energy quota, because , as they have repeatedly stated, are facing problems with the delivery of documents and other requirements.
The meeting took place in the presence of the head of the SADER representative office, José María Llamas Caballero, who gave details of the support provided, as well as the deadlines for the requested declaration, emphasizing that it will only be the end of November, let it happen. Likewise, representative of the General Secretariat of Government, Julia Olguín was present, who, as a solution, opened a consultancy space with the College of Notaries of the State, in order to resolve the issue of requirements for energy quotas.
This act follows the visit that the producers themselves made to the capital of the country, where, before the federal authorities, they expressed the same requests and needs, thus obtaining a response stipulating that the federal government would send them a letter regarding The declaration of drought to the governor of Zacatecas for review and signature, a fact reported by the farmers, did not take place.
“We need and demand that, as before, the energy quota is automatic because the profit goes to the well, to the one who exploits it, yes, so why are they refusing it to us, because a well without subsidy cannot not be exploited.” Alberto de Santiago Murillo, president of the agricultural and livestock zones of the state of Zacatecas.
