The Guadalajara Group “the garfield»already has 12 years of artistic career, three studio albums and they have already unveiled a fourth breakthrough titled: “let me meet you” the same one that was released this August 25 and that will be part of his album “Life is not so serious”.

“It’s going to come out (the record) in October, just around the festival dates (Coordinate). We recently released our latest single with which we are preparing everything for the album release. We also have a poster ready with our upcoming dates, including our date in the Tecate coordinatesat home”.
The project was born in 2011 under the name of The Garfield Jazz Band, an instrumental project and since then it mixes genres like jazz, pop, funk and rock.
Shortly after, the members adopted the group’s current name and included the singer Mary Rye. In 2013, they released their first album, “Without fear”, album with which they made their first performances in the country.
After publishing his second name “Paradise of Love”, Centeno left the band to pursue her career as a soloist, for which the singer joined on vocals Sofia Stainer.
In 2017 they presented their third album “Everything is rich” and collaborated with artists like Charles years and from 2019 they started to appear in the main festivals of the country.
The changes continued and in 2022 Sofía Steiner left the group, since then the singer is Valentina Marentes.
Faced with this change, the members mention that the group, far from diminishing, is more solid and creative than ever.
“Valentina’s arrival is a change. We are very happy with everything we have done before with María, with Sofía and now with Valentina. Every step was very special and everyone puts their grain of sand into it”.
“She is from Veracruzso the work process was very different, we work remotely, suddenly she comes, we work together and that has greatly enriched the process and the result of the songs and obviously her with her technique, her voice and with everything that she added the musicality to the project in a very interesting way.”

“We really like this type of format, the garfield is a band that works a lot in festivals and in this format, we like to make a set song after song. We want it to always be very festive, very high, so a lot of the decisions on set are made looking for a high energy show”.
