The Teatro del Bosque in Móstoles will be one of the main stages of the 41st edition of the Community of Madrid Autumn Festival, hosting the premiere in the region of the play ‘Les jolies choses’, by Canadian choreographer Catherine Gaudet.
It will be on November 22 that the inhabitants of Mostola will be able to see this piece for the first time at the Teatro del Bosque of contemporary creation by the Compagnie Catherine Gaudet, a Canadian company that will present a moving piece, developed thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the Ministère de la Culture.
The Councilor for Culture, Development and Tourism Promotion, Daniel Martín (Vox), who attended the festival presentation event yesterday, insisted that This is the first time that the Canadian choreographer has performed in Madrid and she will do so on the stage of the Teatro del Bosque, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year.
“This work that we are going to see in Móstoles has already made stops in its native Montreal, in Porto, in Lithuania and in the main European dance festivals.said Martín, who praised Canadian designer Catherine Gaudet, who already has almost 20 years of experience behind her.
Since he created his first piece ‘Grosse fatigue’ in 2005, already acclaimed at the International Choreographic Competition in Aarhus (Denmark), establishing a strong and distinctive dance style, He has created numerous shows, as well as various short pieces which have been presented in various places in America and Europe.
“There is a valuable little story behind this montage that has to do with extraordinary adaptive intelligence. that the human being possesses and how this capacity becomes art. Seen like that, it makes a lot of sense that the play is called ‘Pretty Things,’” the mayor added of his latest play.
This work will be one of the main protagonists of the 41st Madrid Autumn Festival, will be held from November 9 to 26 in 28 locations in the region and 38 companies will participate with artists of the stature of Dimitris Papaioannou, Ivo van Hove, Milo Rau, Miet Warlop, Angélica Liddell, Nao Albet and Marcel Borrás, La Pharmaco, Juan Mayorga or José Sanchis Sinisterra.
