kathyla traviesa is the name of the small remote-controlled bus that has gone viral on social media for being a sample of the bright colors and traditional patterns of the extra-urban vans of San Juan Sacatepequez, Guatemalacalls The Sanjuaneras.

Its creator is Kenneth Velasquezinspired by his wife Katherinea native of the aforementioned municipality, for which, without further ado, he has compiled references to the culture of the region, chapín humor, phrases, accessories and also the maneuvers of the pilots, as well as the respective speed, for the capture in his project.

It has a radio control with marimba music. Velásquez was baptized in the networks like fast and furious chapín.

Velásquez, of father Quetzalteco and mother Chiquimulteca but residing in Canadasaid that during a year of traveling around the country, he devoted himself to collecting from craft markets all the miniatures he placed on top of the bus, such as jars, bags of coffee, petates and chickens, among others.

“The ease of shopping carts in the country where I live has allowed me to combine my artistic skills and my love of Guatemalan customs to create a special project that reflects my cultural identity and creative passion,” stress Velazquez.

He added that his work is a combination of Chapina craftsmanship with modern Canadian technology, making it a unique experience that merges both details, from the chassis to the smoke simulation.

Additionally, he indicated that he sells 4X4 carts and parts on demand through his Instagram page. @caledon_crawlersrcand his dream is to open a remote controlled drift and crawler track and shop in the Central American nation.
