In any case, the six-time European champion had a good test in Bangkok against the Canadian, world ‘Top 15’ and this created difficulties for her especially in the first round. Marín, like in his two previous games, started well and largely dominated the score (10-3), but from then on Li balanced the game.

The North American signed six consecutive points to tighten the game and even finally overturned the electronics (14-16). Li remained in front in the decisive stages (17-18), but the Andalusian knew how to keep his calm to regain control and take the round.
