Flaherty Film Seminar

With nearly 70 years of experience, the Flaherty Film Seminar, as it is known in English, has established itself as one of the main spaces for screening and debate around experimental and documentary cinema in the world. It is designed as a process of exploration, the main value of which is to eliminate preconceived ideas, and to observe with an open mind and heart. As Frances Flaherty said at the beginning of the seminar, the titles that make up the program are not announced in advance. This will be the case until the start of the screening, when viewers find out what they will see next.

The theme of the 2023 edition of this seminar is entitled Queer World.Mending. The programming was entrusted to Canadian writers Jon Davies and Steve Reinke, who undertook the work of curating the works for more than a year.
