On the night of May 28, police officers from the Cañada de Río Pinto detachment quickly responded to an emergency call about a fire at a house in the area.

According to the police, the fire started following an overload of the salamander stove, which caused the tiraje pipe to rise to a high temperature and set the roof chamber on fire.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although there was property damage to the house.

URDI police personnel worked with the Tactical Disaster Action Team (ETAC) and Totoral Department volunteer firefighters to extinguish the entire blaze.

From Mirá El Norte we recommend caution in the use of stoves, salamanders and other heating elements at low temperatures, especially at this time of year, to avoid similar tragedies.
