Celine Dion worries her fans: she cancels her world tour

“I’m so sorry to disappoint you all once again,” the artist said on his social networks.

There Canadian singer Celine Dion announced the cancellation of the Courage World Tour on all its 2023 and 2024 dates, which was due to start next August in Amsterdam, due to the illness he is suffering from. “I’m so sorry to disappoint you all once again. I’m working very hard to regain my strength, but going on tour can be very difficult even when you’re at 100%. It’s not fair to keep postponing show“, underlined the author of ‘My heart will continue’ on his social networks.

Dion had already postponed some dates of this tour due to the stiff person syndrome which he announced last year, although on that occasion he decided to suspend all dates until he sees a cure for his illness. “Even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to get back on stage. I want everyone to know that I won’t give up and I can’t wait to see them again,” Dion said.

Tickets purchased for canceled dates will be reimbursed via the point of sale original -in Spain there was no scheduled date-. The Canadian singer announced last December that she suffered from stiff person syndrome. In a video shared via her social networks, the artist explained that she had suffered from “health problems” for a long time and that she had recently been diagnosed with “a very rare neurological problem”, known as the syndrome of the rigid person.

It is a neurological pathology that affects central nervous system and is characterized by “episodes of stiffness and spasms in the muscles of the trunk and arms and legs,” according to the US National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. Celine Dion then pointed out that this pathology was at the origin of the “muscle spasms” from which she suffers and indicated that she is being taken care of by a medical team.
