Omoda and Jaecco, the two new Chinese brands landing in Spain

It will be the group Rafael Alonso who will debut omoda And jaecco. It will therefore be in the Canary Islands that these two brands, owned by the Chinese manufacturer Chery International, start your journey within our borders. This company becomes the official distributor of the two firms for the islands.

The first of the models that will arrive in Spain is the omoda 5a crossover with a coupe body that equips a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with supercharging that develops a power of 197 horsepower. The gearbox is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and is front-wheel drive.

The design of the Omoda 5 is distinguished mainly by the presence of a grille with diamonds that grow as they approach the lowest part of the vehicle, as well as by some thin and aggressive optics. We also know that this model has obtained the five stars of EuroNCAP.

The first units will arrive in the Canary Islands in June. However, the vehicle delivery ceremony has already taken place, more precisely at the Chery International plant, located in the Chinese city of wuhu. It is expected that by 2024 there will be six Omoda and Jaecco dealerships in the region.

From Chery International they claim to have worked to ensure that their vehicles comply with all European regulations and standards.
