The owners of the main hotel brands in Cuba such as Meliá, Iberostar or Valentín, posed this Monday with the Prime Minister of the country, Manuel Marrero, at the start of Fitcuba (Fitcuba begins after a Tianguis and a record date).
The image you accessed REPORTUR.mx shows Gabriel Escarrer (Meliá), Ricardo Reyero (Islabella), Miguel Fluxá (Iberostar), José Codolá (Valentin) and the aforementioned manager at the opening of the Havana fair.
Meliá has more than 30 hotels in Cuba and is the chain with the most presence on the island, followed by the Canadian Sunwing with brands such as Memories and Royalton, and in third place with the most rooms is Iberostar (Westjet concludes the purchase of Sunwing with the uncertainty of Cuba).
These Spanish hoteliers have shown their continued support for Cuban tourism after three years of difficulties due to the pandemic and the slow resumption of flights and travelers compared to other destinations such as Cancun or Punta Cana (the Dominican Republic is seeking part of the Canadian tourist who was going to Cuba).
