a few hours ago, All Elite Wrestling organized a new day of transmissions of AEW Dynamite from the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Among other fights and segments, company chairman Tony Khan announced to the audience the making of the 2023 Owen Hart Tournament on Canadian land.
The tournament will return for the second year in a row, this time as part of AEW’s tour of Canada during the Northern Hemisphere summer. Tony Khan also argued that the tournament final will be held in Calgary, city where Owen Hart was born. This data would have attracted the attention of the most awake fans since it is a new piece around AEW Collision.
At present, All Elite Wrestling has accepted Saturday July 15 as an event house rules non-televised, which will take place during the cultural event calgary stampede in the Saddledome. The company may announce a postponement on that date as a TV broadcast for the new Saturday show on TNT Drama. A similar case happened with the 8th of July functionwhich was originally scheduled for Friday of the following week before being announced again simply AEW LIVE!.
All Elite Wrestling is handling the announcement of its upcoming dates with caution before the announcement of its new program. It is possible that AEW Collision will land on televisions sometime in June 2023. The latest rumors have positioned the show on TNT Drama, along with Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk as the first stellar rivalry that will serve as promotion.
