A Canadian family has been traveling for a year to show their children the world before they lose their sight
More than a year ago, Edith Lemay and Sébastien Pelletier, Canadians, left for a world tour with their children.
Three of her children have retinitis pigmentosa, a congenital disease that causes progressive loss of vision.
In a few weeks the adventure will be over and the children will go back to school
It’s been over a year now, Edith Lemay and Sebastien Pelletier, nail couple canadian propose traveling around the world as a gift for her four children –Mia, Colin, Laurent and Leo–, before the first three go blind for a rare genetic disease. A moving story that in a few weeks will come to an end.

The idea of the trip was born after the recommendation of a specialist
“At first you can’t believe it. You think: this cannot happen to us. So you get angry,” explains Sébastien Pelletier, the father of the family.
A specialist offered to show them pictures of world before they went blind and it gave them an idea. “I decided I didn’t want to show you a picture of an elephant or a giraffe in a book, I wanted show him but for real“says the mother, Edith Lemay.
