At the end of last year, it was reported that Eric Young he would make his WWE return. The former IMPACT wrestling world champion is said to have signed with the McMahon company under the new regime led by Triple H. However, the fighter has yet to debut in the company’s lineup.
In an update published by specialized media Strugglejournalist Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Young has been under contract with WWE since November 1.. The Canadian signed with the company a few months after Triple H took up his new role.
Anthem Media was reportedly told in October that Young would not be continuing with them. However, the wrestler continued to appear on IMPACT programming until December 1date it was removed from television via a script.
During his first stint in WWE, Young led the well-known faction Mental Healthformed by itself, Alexander Wolfe, killian dain (Grand Damo) and Nikki Cross. The group played a very important role in NXT. However, his rise in the main roster marked the beginning of a quick end for the stable.
As had happened on other occasions, the recently promoted talent was not well utilized, falling into insignificance until its members were finally fired (except for Cross). Since then, they have each gone their own way, with Young returning to IMPACT and Damo and Wolfe to the independent scene.
Young won the IMPACT World Championship right after his return and has remained a mainstay with the company ever since, even appearing on television while on sick leave after a knee injury kept him out of action. After signing with WWE, Young continued to appear on IMPACT programming until he was “killed” by Cody Deaner.
