Competitors from Colombia, Canada and Cuba dominated the different modalities of the VII Havana International Triathlon this Sunday.

The event, which was suspended for three years due to the pandemic, won the Colombian María Carolina Velásquez and the Canadian Martin Sobey in the elite category, while the Cuban triathletes prevailed in the different categories of the modality. sprint.

Velásquez was crowned champion among the main female triathletes, with a time of 1:59:26 hours. The podium was completed by the Slovak Ivana Kuriackova (1:59:27) and the Turkish Xisca Tous (1:59:36), as reported there Cuban News Agency (ACN).

Meanwhile, Sobey led the men with a time of 1:43:47 hours, ahead of American Ka’eo Kruse (1:43:48) and Mexican Irving Pérez (1:43:53), adds the desk.
