In the case of Levi and Leah, the Canadian couple decided in May 2022 to buy a 2012 Prius vehicle to go on a “road trip” (road trip in Spanish) through North America. Since then, they have managed to adapt to a nomadic lifestyle and one of their destinations was Mexico, where they slept parked in gas stations.

Between their adventures, Levi and Leah had to sleep in the parking lot of a gas station in Mexico. Through their viral video, they show how they did it: they first parked in a place a bit far from the loading area so as not to hear too much noise.

Later, they took advantage of the fact that the bathroom of said gas station had showers and baths. They asked permission to stay there and started folding the car seats, then unrolling their blankets and laying out their pillows.

Finally, the Canadian couple ended their day with a simple dinner they cooked themselves and tried watching Netflix, but when the internet failed they had to resort to a few books to keep them entertained until bed.

Levi and Leah’s video prompted many to comment on their concern for the couple’s safety, but the Canadians explained that when planning their trip, they adopted various strategies to avoid incidents, such as checking the website of the American government and thus know the states of the Mexican Republic that are not recommended for foreign tourists due to their index of insecurity.

Then the couple explained that they use the toll roads, because in their opinion, they are safer and they also do not go out at night in dangerous areas. Precautions to take when going on vacation to any other place in the world.
