Governor Jorge Capitanich and Lieutenant Governor Analía Rach Quiroga, together with Mayor Magda Ayala, participated this Friday in the central act of the 116th anniversary of Barranqueras. There, the president handed over new patrol cars to the police, in addition to title deeds, social aid through the Institute for the Disabled and sports items.
The governor hailed the community of Barranqueras ahead of another anniversary of its founding and highlighted the “profound transformation” of the city in recent years. “The city is going through a period of extraordinary growth, work has been carried out as no one had imagined in such a short time. It is the result of the active commitment of the national, provincial and municipal government, to transform the quality of life of communities and cities,” he assured.
“The role of the provincial government in the development of public policies is to promote and guarantee the rights: to health, to security, to education, to sports and recreation, to identity, to culture and to a healthy environment, and that is what we are doing with these works. Capitanich said. In this sense, he listed the paving works of important roads, the housing works, the interventions in the health, educational, sports and cultural infrastructures, which have been carried out or are in progress in the city.
Among the infrastructure works with the greatest impact, he mentioned the reinforcement of the port of Barranqueras, the plant of the second interior aqueduct and the paving of important arteries of connectivity such as the access sections on the San Martín avenues , Maipú and Gaboto.
“We are very excited about this new anniversary, which comes with a lot of transformation, growth and development. Work has been carried out which marks a before and after and which improves the quality of life of citizens”, underlined Magda Ayala.
Likewise, he recognized the first settlers of Barranqueras who “worked hard to make it a city of growth”, and said to the community: “Despite the political ideologies, let us continue to be able to unite to continue transforming our city” .

New patrol boats, title deeds and other deliveries
During the day, the president delivered three new patrol cars to strengthen the security service in the city: three Nissan Frontier 4×2 trucks, which will go to the first, second and third police stations of Barranqueras and which required an investment of 29,661,000 dollars. These vehicles are part of a recently acquired fleet of 108 trucks, 31 cars and 100 motorcycles.
Minister Gloria Zalazar announced that next week more patrol cars will be delivered to different municipalities in the province. “These are tasks that have to do with the axis of professionalization of the forces, training, training and a political decision to add all the necessary technology and logistics,” he said. underline.
In addition, the President issued 10 title deeds to families from different neighborhoods, out of a total of 97 title deeds corresponding to the neighborhoods 500 Homes, 200 Homes, 152 Homes, Felucho, 96 Homes, Utedyc, 150 Homes, 110 Homes, 40 Houses, 50 Houses. Some of its owners receive a title deed after 35 years.
Thanks to IPRODICH, 10 technical and social aids were also delivered: ventilators, anti-decubitus mattresses, refrigerators, air conditioning, Canadian canes and postural wheelchairs.
The president of the Institute, José Lorenzo, clarified in the context of the distribution of social assistance, that this unit works permanently with the municipal secretariat of the handicap. “We accompany and support the work of the Secretariat with these technical and social aids, which are requirements for people with disabilities in this city,” he said.
