ProHASactive | In June, the Canadian mineral exploration company began work in three main areas of the Curibaya project in the Tacna region.
Tier One Silver has made public the discovery of new areas with high concentrations of: silver, gold and copper. The new discovery took place to the west of the main objectives: Cambaya I and Cambaya II. The polymetallic zone has been classified as high grade, with samples grading up to 1,360 g/t silver (Ag), 42.20 g/t gold (Au) and 6.12% copper (Cu ).
Peter Dembicki, CEO and Director of Tier One Silver, said he was pleased with recent exploration progress at the Curibaya project.
“As we continue our explorations, we consistently continue to find high levels of silver, gold and now copper. “Our team is excited about our efforts to discover new areas of high-grade mineral outcrops, which continues to expand the discovery potential in Curibaya,” said the businessman.
The results of the Curibaya project belong to a first phase of exploration which concerns approximately 17 thousand hectares. The geological exploration program was planned to cover three main areas: Sambalay Grande, Sambalay Chico and Escalera.
“Planning our next drilling program, subject to securing the necessary financing, is a critical step as we strategically focus on our target mineral: silver (Ag). Subsequently, we will devote a rigorously dedicated program to the porphyry copper target,” declared the CEO of Tier One Silver.
In turn, Tier One Silver has identified a quartz structure in the area and a new mineralized vein corridor, called: Sambalay Chico Corridor, which extends up to 1.5 kilometers in length and exhibits values of up to at 139 g/t silver (Ag) and 2.56 g/t gold (Au).
The news is positive for the Tacna region, which in 2022 accumulated an amount of mining investment exceeding $214 million and, nationally, it was ranked 11th in mining investment by region, according to the 2022 Mining Yearbook published by the Ministry of Energy. and Mines.
