Three people arrested after shooting at the Mexico-Pyramids highway toll — Noticias en la Mira con Lourdes Mendoza

Three suspected criminals were arrested by elements of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) after a chase and shootings on the Mexico-Piramides highway, in the municipality of Ecatepec.

The facts occurred in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 14, after the authorities received a report of an attack on a gas station located in the Los Héroes Ecatepec Tercera Temporada district, in the region of the pyramids.

According to the complaint, a group of armed subjects in a white van pretended to rob employees of the establishment of their personal belongings and cash and then fled in the same vehicle.

Given this, the uniformed agents implemented a search operation for those responsible for the aggression, who allegedly tried to flee along the Mexico-Pyramids highway, towards Ecatepec, where a persecution began .

It was at the toll booth located at the height of the Los Héroes de Ecatepec housing estate that the elements of the FGJEM caught up with the criminals, who started a shootout to avoid being arrested.

However, officers repelled the attack, managing to arrest three men aboard the truck, two of whom suffered gunshot wounds, for which they were transferred to a hospital as detainees.

It should be noted that a few hours earlier there was another shooting in the State of Mexico, but in the municipality of Texcaltitlanwhere suspected criminals attacked a group of security forces, events that left a total of 10 dead and several injured.
