The syndic of Villa Jiménez, Michoacán, is found shot dead on his ranch

Noah Ornelas Sanguinomunicipal trustee of Villa Jimenez, Michoacanwas shot and his body was found on Monday at a ranch he owned known as “Los Tres Cerritos”.

The municipal official has been reported by his relatives since yesterday as missing.

Witnesses report that armed individuals deprived him of his liberty on Sunday.

Later, Ornelas Sanguino’s vehicle was abandoned – with gunshot wounds – on the La Soledad-La Estancia stretch of highway, near the Wilson Dam, in the same municipality.

The Michoacan Attorney’s Office received the complaint and issued a desalination file from the city councilor.

The FGE indicated that on June 26, around 6:30 p.m., Noé Ornelas was seen in the town of Copándaro, in this municipality.

Ministry personnel, along with state and federal forces, have deployed a search operation in this area located 106 kilometers from the state capital.

In the minutes of this Monday noon, the FGE announced through a press release that the city councilor had been found dead.

The body of Noé Ornelas Sanguino was found next to the section of the national road, La Soledad-La Estancia, municipality of Jiménez, near his vehicle.

The prosecution assured that it is making progress in the investigations and that already has convincing data on the whereabouts of those responsible of homicide.

He said that after the official disappeared, federal, state and city authorities deployed a coordinated operation to locate him.

She established that yesterday morning, Ornelas Sanguino left his home located in the municipality of Jiménez, in the direction of one of his properties.

That day, during the course of the actions, the FGE learned of the discovery of a dead person, in the aforementioned stretch of road.

Elements of the institution were formed on the site, where they confirmed that it was the municipal councilor.
