Shooting reported outside La Pila prison in San Luis Potosí

This Monday morning, authorities and citizens of San Luis Potosi reported a shooting outside the prison The battery.

Through videos and images shared on social networksusers specified that the shooting started at 5:00 a.m.

In a media interview, the security spokesperson, Michael Gallegosdetailed as no injuries for the shoot which was recorded on the highway 57.

“The detonations were probably made by a criminal group, there is already a presence of the National Guard, elements of the Army and the municipal police,” he said.

Gallegos said the investigation into the prison shooting is ongoing, so it is not yet possible to confirm whether it was an attack on state government buildings.

“There was talk of an alleged movement inside La Pila but it is negative, the order and the government that exists in the prison are controlled without major problems, there was no risk for the near of 2,000 PPL (Population Deprived of Liberty) who were there are isolated,” the spokesman said.

Gallegos said that to date, 13 vehicles have been hit by devices that have punctured their tires. He added that, although there have been no arrests as such so far, it is not excluded that there will be results in the next few hours.
