Martín Vidaurre triumphs in Canada and is one step away from the double championship of the UCI XCO U23 category

The Mont-Sainte-Anne circuit in Canada was blessed ground for the Chilean after claiming first place, and paving the way for a double UCI World Cup championship assured.

The good news for the national sport comes straight from Canada. The Chilean cyclist, Martin Vidaureonce again writes its history in the UCI World Cup, win the Mont-Sainte-Anne circuitin Quebec, and continue firm at the top of the XCO Sub 23 category.

A positive result which directs the national credit towards a bi-championshipin the absence of a closing date for the 2022 season, with a dazzling performancenot only for specialists in this discipline, but also for fans.

The eighth date in Canadian territory was conquered by Vidaurre in a time of 1:08:3155 seconds ahead of second David Campos, add the points needed to shout champion safely on the last day competition in Italy.

” It’s amazing. The circuit is really pure cross country for real. We went out to attack the race. I came with chest problems and finally I was able to unmask myself, so we continue everything and prepare for the world cupand we are super happy and grateful for the support from Chile”, commented the athlete after the race in Quebec.

Martín Vidaurre’s performance in the 2022 season is more than exceptional. The Red Bull athlete has won seven out of eight races and is set to be the new double champion of the UCI World Cup XCO Under 23 category.

The 930 units added to date by Vidaurrewith a large advantage over the 580 points of the Canadian Carter Woods, are a clear sign of a month of September which will start in a big way with a new title, when race the last date of the world championship in Val di Sole, Italy.
