IPV builds new homes in Rosario de Lerma

The Provincial Housing Institute (IPV) began in April this year the construction of 26 new housing units in the Islas Malvinas neighborhood of the municipality of Rosario de Lerma. The work was carried out under an agreement with the Habitat Secretariat of the Ministry of Territorial Planning and National Habitat.

The work has a physical progress of 15%. The houses will have 64 m2 with a bioclimatic design, which will achieve better levels of thermal comfort, incorporating renewable energy through solar water heaters. In addition, biodigesters will be installed to treat wastewater.

The Province, the Municipality and the Nation are carrying out this works project, which was awarded about ten years ago. The works are carried out on the land of the beneficiaries who have been selected by the municipality according to the existing demand and who meet the requirements required by the IPV. Of the total number of families, 10 have cases of disability.

Neighborhood infrastructure works

On the other hand, the provincial government, through the Ministry of Social Development and IPV, is working in the same neighborhood on infrastructure works in charge of the United Argentina program for the integration of popular neighborhoods, which depends on the Secretariat for Socio-Urban Action. Residents of the same neighborhood are participating in the construction of the gutter cordon that will benefit more than 1,600 families living in the Malvinas Islands. The works also include a drainage channel and the paving of the accesses to the district.
