Canada: how to live and work in this country for up to two years? – United States – International

If you are looking for opportunities to immigrate to Canada, you can apply for the International Experience Canada (IEC) program.which helps young people to travel and work in Canada for up to 2 years.

This type of visa, promoted by the Canadian government, is a work permit for a university student or young professional who have obtained a job offer, want a temporary job or are going to do their professional practices in this country.

So there are three modes:

Working holiday: allows the person to live legally for 12 to 24 months and work for any employer in any city. It is essential that the applicant does not have a job offer.

Young professionals: It is aimed at people aged 18 to 35 who have a job offer, so it is important that the company contributes to the professional development of the candidate and meets the conditions for access to the program.

International Coop (Internship): in this case, the person must be registered at a university and have an offer to carry out an internship or a temporary job that is decisive in order to complete their studies.

Canada offers many programs to foreigners who wish to work on its territory.

Terms

It should be specified that This program only applies to certain countries, in the case of Latin America it is available for Chile, Costa Rica and Mexico. However, if you are not part of these territories, you can apply to a recognized organization (RO).

ROs are services that help people immigrate to Canada, providing advice on visas, programs and costs. Those recommended by the migration page are: AIESEC Canada, GO International, International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE), A-Way to Work, Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), Stepwest, and SWAP Working Holidays.

Whether or not your country is part of the agreement, you can only apply once, although for some people the number of applications depends on where they are from.
